Project Scope

Under the GSL partnership between Graycor Industrial and Sargent & Lundy, the GSL team engineered and installed a new 69kV gas-insulated substation at the existing Peermont substation at 60th Street in Avalon, N.J. The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract called for an architectural building to house the substation area with the new substation footprint to be larger than the existing cottage substation in order to accommodate the new load requirements and future growth. The surrounding transmission and distribution lines extend to the boroughs of Avalon and Stone Harbor and to Middle Township.
