Project Scope

This 100,000-square-foot build-to-suit for Argonne National Laboratory occupies 1,500 wooded acres in DuPage County, IL, about 25 miles southwest of the Chicago Loop. The site is not only one of the U.S. Department of Energy′s largest research centers, but it also houses their Chicago operations office. The research center was constructed to house 2,900 employees, including approximately 1,000 scientists and engineers, and includes laboratories, offices – both private and shared – a cafeteria and kitchen areas, and several conference rooms.
