Project Scope
Wisconsin′s largest shopping center, Southridge Mall underwent a multimillion-dollar enhancement, followed by a partial mall redevelopment. Renovations at the 1.2 million SF mall included a redesign of the mall entrances as well as improvements to nearly every square foot of the mall‘s common area and food court.
Improvements included new tile flooring and carpeting throughout the mall, tenant entrances, ceiling/bulkhead modifications, new upper level hand railing, lighting, finishes and seating and amenities in Southridge’s common areas. The food court and restrooms were revitalized with MEP upgrades, new lighting and finishes and fixtures. In addition, new pylon, monument and way-finding signage will be installed around the mall. Exterior improvements include the addition of new landscaping, ADA compliant parking and sidewalks near the four new entrances.
Graycor worked throughout the holidays to complete the renovation. The majority of the scope of work was performed during night shift hours for both public safety reasons and to accommodate the operational tenants by minimizing the impact of construction as much as possible. All affected areas maintained full access to the public by 8 A.M. each day.
Graycor previously completed renovations and interior build-out of tenant space to Southridge Mall in 2004 and 2005 for then owner Urban Retail Properties Co.
