Project Scope

Graycor completed the Everest Building Project-a 304,000-square-foot building addition to Carrier Corp.’s Memphis-area manufacturing plant. The year-long project expanded the manufacturer’s ability to produce heating and air units.

The plant remained fully operational throughout the project, which required close coordination and open communication with the entire crew as well as plant employees. Preparing the site for the addition required the Graycor team to demolish several existing buildings, including the south and west walls of the main plant, which were replaced with temporary walls. Concrete foundations, trenches, pits and slab installations were provided.
